Process Expert – General Ledger Accounting

About the role

The Process Expert – GL Accounting will support Book-to-Report (B2R) activities, driving process excellence, standardisation and automation while ensuring compliance with global accounting and reporting requirements. You will be part of BASF's new Global Hub in India, collaborating with finance and HR teams across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep end‑to‑end understanding of B2R processes and support Service Delivery Units.
• Assist the transition of new service scopes, ensuring adherence to global SOPs, tools and change‑management practices.
• Design, steer and continuously improve global General Ledger Accounting and External Reporting processes.
• Maintain and manage the global service portfolio for the B2R area, ensuring consistency with BASF’s enterprise architecture.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process optimisation.
• Experience in finance or accounting environments, preferably with exposure to global reporting standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setting, balancing on‑site and remote responsibilities.
