Principal Technologist – Product Development (R&D)

About the role

AVEVA is looking for a highly skilled software developer to join its Core Services team in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing and developing innovative industrial software solutions for data management and cloud‑based systems, supporting customers in automation and engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and debug applications using C#/.NET.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects and global teams.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold high quality standards.
• Work in an agile environment with continuous integration and deployment.
• Contribute to new features and maintain existing codebases.
• Mentor peers, grow technical skills and share knowledge.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 11+ years of professional experience developing software in C#/.NET.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio or VS Code and modern development practices.
• Strong ability to write clean, well‑structured code.
• Effective communication and collaborative mindset.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), RESTful APIs, Kubernetes and Agile/SCRUM.
