Principal Process Engineer (Flow Assurance)

About the role

Worley is seeking a Principal Process Engineer with strong expertise in flow assurance to lead process engineering activities on offshore oil & gas projects. The role involves delivering high‑quality engineering solutions across concept, FEED and detailed engineering phases while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute process engineering deliverables for offshore projects, from concept through detailed design.
• Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and perform process calculations.
• Perform and supervise process simulations, heat & material balance calculations, and optimisation studies.
• Prepare and review design basis, engineering philosophies and specifications.
• Conduct or support HAZID, HAZOP, SIL and other process safety studies.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (piping, mechanical, instrumentation, electrical) and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, international codes/standards (API, ASME, ISO) and company procedures.
• Participate in client meetings, technical discussions and design reviews, and support proposal engineering and estimation activities.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures and ensure timely project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 18+ years of experience in process engineering with strong exposure to offshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven experience in FEED and detailed engineering phases.
• Strong knowledge of process design, equipment sizing and offshore systems.
• Experience with process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS or UniSim.
• Good understanding of process safety and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
