Principal, Data Governance and Compliance Monitoring

About the role

The Principal, Data Governance and Compliance Monitoring role is responsible for overseeing enterprise data across Microsoft 365, Power BI, Atlassian Suite and cloud platforms. You will lead data discovery, classification, retention and remediation activities while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and govern enterprise data across Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive), Power BI, Atlassian Suite and cloud services.
• Execute advanced data discovery, search and retrieval to identify, analyze and act on data assets.
• Perform data lifecycle operations including classification, preservation, remediation and deletion aligned with compliance policies.
• Automate data processes and workflows using PowerShell, scripting, webhooks and AI‑enabled tools.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, Security and Technology teams to enforce data control frameworks and support audits, investigations and regulatory requests.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of experience in data management, enterprise data search and collaboration platforms.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, Power BI).
• Proven ability to manage data lifecycle processes (classification, retention, remediation, deletion) and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
