Plumber and Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Plumber and Maintenance Engineer to join the Engineering Department of Hyatt Regency Chandigarh. The successful candidate will ensure a high and consistent level of service for hotel guests and support the smooth operation of all engineering functions across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reliable plumbing services and routine maintenance for the hotel’s central plant and guest rooms.
• Assist in the day‑to‑day running of the Engineering Department, ensuring all systems operate efficiently.
• Collaborate with other operating departments to address technical issues promptly.
• Maintain records of work performed and report any major faults to senior engineering staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Handyman or plumber in a hotel or large building complex with a central plant.
• Or a minimum of two years of college/technical school education related to engineering or facilities maintenance.
• Alternatively, 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience combined with training, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
