Plant Security Head - Mundra

About the role

The Plant Security Head will lead the security function at our Mundra facility, ensuring a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and assets. This senior position requires close collaboration with law enforcement, government agencies, and local communities to maintain order and support corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and keep the security department operational to prevent theft and protect personnel and material.
• Coordinate with police and state authorities to uphold law and order at the site.
• Engage with local leaders and village heads to build an intelligence network and support CSR projects.
• Manage emergency response and disaster‑management measures.
• Oversee continuous CCTV surveillance and maintain modern electronic security equipment.
• Implement highest Health & Safety standards per DuPont/CHETNA guidelines.
• Apply SI/JSA/SMS procedures according to organizational policies.
• Conduct regular security audits and reviews of the security setup.
• Deploy security personnel and technology to mitigate risks.
• Identify training needs, coordinate skill upgrades, and ensure team readiness.
• Perform ongoing threat evaluation to safeguard people and assets.

Required profile

• Graduate degree.
• Retired defence services officer (Major/Lt Col/Col) or ex‑paramilitary officer at senior/junior commandant level.
• Preferably a graduate with a defence or paramilitary background.
• Minimum 17 years of relevant experience in security management.
