Assistant Manager - Security

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Security will lead the planning, execution and supervision of security operations across a large industrial complex. This role ensures the safety of personnel, assets and critical installations while maintaining compliance with statutory and corporate security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and supervise security manpower at plant gates, process areas, warehouses, township and critical installations.
• Monitor 24x7 site security through field surveillance and control‑room coordination.
• Conduct routine inspections, patrols and audits to ensure adherence to SOPs and legal requirements.
• Manage access control and visitor management systems for employees, contractors and guests.
• Oversee material security for raw materials, finished goods and precious metals, minimizing pilferage and theft.
• Operate and maintain CCTV, access‑control hardware, boom barriers and perimeter security infrastructure.
• Investigate security incidents, prepare reports and support root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate emergency response with fire‑safety teams, law enforcement and external agencies.
• Verify contractor security compliance and deliver awareness sessions.
• Maintain security records, logs and support internal/external audits.

Required profile

• Graduate degree; diploma or degree in Security Management, Industrial Security, Defence Studies, Criminology or related field preferred.
• 5‑8 years of experience in industrial security operations, access control, CCTV surveillance, material loss prevention and incident investigation.
• Strong knowledge of Factories Act requirements and security governance.
• Proven ability to liaise with operations, logistics, safety teams and external agencies such as CISF, police and customs.
