Plant Lead – End-to-End Food Business Owner

About the role

The Plant Lead will own the end‑to‑end performance of a fast‑scaling food business, driving new product development, supply‑chain efficiency and manufacturing excellence. This high‑impact position reports to senior leadership and works closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead NPD and overall business operations for the convenience and staples portfolio.
• Manage the full supply chain, including production, planning, procurement and inventory.
• Oversee plant performance and coordinate with co‑manufacturing partners.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Drive product lifecycle from ideation through commercialisation.
• Collaborate with NPD, quality, procurement and external vendors to optimise cost, efficiency and scalability.

Required profile

• 8‑15+ years of experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or packaged foods.
• Strong background in NPD, plant operations and end‑to‑end supply‑chain management.
• Hands‑on, data‑driven mindset with ability to scale businesses and manage ambiguity.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Technology, Engineering, Operations or related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory).

Required skills

• Food safety standards: FSSAI, HACCP, ISO.
• ERP systems: SAP, Oracle.
• Production planning tools and quality management systems.
