Plant Cost Controller

About the role

The Plant Cost Controller will partner with operational management to develop budgets, forecasts and performance analyses for the Singavaram plant. This role ensures financial data integrity, supports closing activities and drives efficiency improvements across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with operational managers to develop and maintain accurate budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare provisional results, load them into the controlling tool and perform variance analysis against budget and prior year.
• Support the accounting team during month‑end close, presenting and explaining results.
• Identify improvement actions, conduct ad‑hoc analyses and assist with cash‑flow management.
• Monitor industrial equipment efficiency and key performance indicators together with the Plant Manager.
• Perform detailed financial analyses by profit centre and contribute to financial modeling for decision‑making.
• Produce clear reports from financial data, ensuring data quality and consistency.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in costing, variance analysis, budget preparation or process improvement.
• Professional qualification such as ICWA or CMA.
• Preferably experience in dairy manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
• Strong English communication and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel to plant locations (at least 30% of working time).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory).
• Knowledge of SAP (preferable).
