Planning Specialist – Capacity & Inventory Management

About the role

ABB is seeking a Planning Specialist to strengthen supplier relationships, ensure compliance, and drive data‑based decisions that improve operational efficiency. Based in Bangalore, you will support the IEC Low Voltage division by managing capacity, inventory, and order processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain capacity plans aligned with mid‑ and long‑term demand for all supply pools.
• Release quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily production schedules and purchase orders.
• Perform detailed analyses of planning metrics such as Days Inventory on Hand, on‑time delivery, lead time, forecast accuracy and resource utilization.
• Support inventory management for finished, semi‑finished goods and raw materials according to company guidelines.
• Collaborate on product development and business‑process enhancement projects.
• Monitor order processes and provide support to internal divisions.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in planning or supply chain roles.
• Engineering degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment.
• Familiarity with ABB’s code of conduct and compliance standards.
• Experience reviewing supplier/customer on‑time delivery and inventory targets.
