Placement Officer

About the role

The Placement Officer serves as the bridge between academia and industry, driving campus recruitment, skill‑building initiatives, and internship coordination for a multi‑faculty university.

Key responsibilities

• Corporate Relations: Build and maintain partnerships with Tier‑1 companies, multinational corporations, and start‑ups to ensure continuous campus recruitment drives.
• Skill Development: Organise workshops on soft skills, technical preparation, resume writing, and mock interviews.
• Internships & Placement Logistics: Manage the end‑to‑end process for summer internships and final placements, including scheduling, tracking pre‑placement offers, and facility allocation.
• Data Management: Keep accurate databases of student profiles, monitor progress, and generate analytical reports for senior management.
• Alumni Networking: Work with the alumni association to leverage graduate networks for mentoring and job leads.

Required profile

• Education: MBA in Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience: 5–8 years of corporate recruitment or career services experience, preferably within a university or college environment.
