PHE & Fire Design Engineer (MEP)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced PHE & Fire Design Engineer to join our MEP design team in Mumbai. You will lead the design, engineering and coordination of plumbing, public health engineering and fire‑fighting systems across a variety of building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer PHE, plumbing and fire‑fighting systems for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, specifications and detailed drawings.
• Develop system layouts, schematics and detailed documentation for water supply, drainage, stormwater, sewage and rainwater harvesting.
• Design fire protection solutions including hydrants, sprinklers, hose reels, fire‑water storage and pumping systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and size pipes, pumps, tanks and related equipment.
• Coordinate designs with architecture, structural, electrical, HVAC and other MEP disciplines.
• Review and integrate BIM/Revit models and CAD drawings to ensure clash‑free deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with Indian and international codes, standards and local authority requirements.
• Support tender preparation, BOQs, specifications and technical submissions.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their drawings and technical inputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in PHE, plumbing and fire‑fighting design.
• Strong knowledge of building services design and MEP coordination.
• Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit MEP/BIM preferred.
• Good understanding of NBC, IS Codes, NFPA and other applicable standards.
