About the role

The Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Sri City invites motivated candidates to join a full‑time, on‑site Ph.D. research program focused on English Language Teaching in the digital age. The role involves exploring learner autonomy, agency, and digital literacies within ESL/EFL writing contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct original research on ELT topics such as learner autonomy, critical pedagogy, and digital literacies.
• Publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
• Mentor undergraduate and master’s students on research projects.
• Collaborate with faculty members and industry experts on interdisciplinary initiatives.
• Participate in departmental seminars, workshops, and other academic activities.

Required profile

• Strong interest in English Language Teaching, digital transformation, and learner autonomy.
• Eligibility to enroll in a full‑time Ph.D. program at IIIT Sri City.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.
• Ability to engage in scholarly writing and academic discourse.
