Chemistry Faculty

About the role

The Chemistry Faculty position is a full‑time, on‑site role at Sagar Group of Institutions – SISTec in Bhopal. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate chemistry courses, design lectures and practical sessions, and uphold the institution’s academic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans, deliver lectures, conduct laboratory sessions and assess student performance.
• Mentor students academically, maintain course records, and contribute to curriculum enhancement with an industry‑oriented approach.
• Participate in departmental meetings, engage in research and scholarly activities, and support accreditation and quality initiatives.
• Assist in institutional events, outreach programs, and collaborative projects with faculty and staff.

Required profile

• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and Physical Chemistry, with ability to integrate relevant Physics concepts.
• Experience in curriculum development using an outcome‑based, industry‑oriented approach.
• Demonstrated research skills, including conducting experiments, publishing work, and guiding student projects.
• Postgraduate degree (M.Sc. or M.Phil.) in Chemistry or related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• Prior teaching experience at the college or university level, preferably in engineering or technical institutions.
• Excellent classroom communication, student engagement, and mentoring abilities.
• Proficiency with educational technology, laboratory equipment, and modern teaching tools.
• Commitment to academic integrity, continuous professional development, and collaborative work.
