Packaging Process Operator

About the role

The Packaging Process Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining packaging equipment in filling and labelling areas, ensuring product quality and cost efficiency. The role involves monitoring processes, performing quality checks, and supporting continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment according to VPO standards and safety procedures.
• Track and monitor process performance, record short stops, and correct out‑of‑control situations.
• Complete workstation and team‑room administration, including hand‑over logs.
• Manage PIMS & POMS data, trigger corrective actions, and complete QFRs and 5‑WHY analyses when required.
• Perform autonomous quality checks as defined in work instructions and record results in the information system.
• Identify defective plant, report to the Process Artisan or Team Leader, and assist with on‑shift repairs.
• Participate actively in shift meetings, log issues, and suggest improvements.
