Package Designer – 3D Modeling & Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a Package Designer to develop 3D engineering models for rotating equipment packages, balance‑of‑plant systems, piping, structural and tubing designs within a Siemens‑Energy environment. The role supports global engineering, drafting and document control activities for Siemens‑Energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3D models of equipment and systems, including piping, supports, valves, structures and instrumentation hook‑ups using NX and E3D within Teamcenter.
• Design piping routes, prepare general arrangement (GA) and isometric drawings, and develop material take‑off (MTO) packages.
• Interpret simulation studies (stress, pulsation) and apply results to design.
• Perform basic pipe calculations such as sizing, pressure drop and related engineering checks.
• Liaise with clients and consultants for drawing approvals, technical reviews and model validation.
• Support fabrication and packaging activities at Siemens‑Energy shops or client sites.
• Utilise ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) where required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2–10 years of experience in package design and 3D modeling.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, ASTM, API and AWS standards and B31.3 piping code.
• Familiarity with rotating equipment such as compressors and pumps.
• Ability to read and produce package engineering drawings (GA, foundation, piping plans, isometrics).
