Operations Data Analyst

About the role

The Operations Data Analyst will support Thiess in embedding an operational improvement culture across Australia. You will design, establish and maintain analytics and reporting systems that drive sustainable value and performance for projects and functional departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated analytics, consolidation and reporting solutions to identify and manage improvement strategies.
• Build and support Power BI models that track and disseminate improvement initiatives across projects.
• Produce consistent, best‑practice operational performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with business governance and reporting standards.
• Coordinate efforts across teams and stakeholders to achieve results and resolve issues.
• Champion change initiatives and promote a safety‑first mindset.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to influence diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can manage conflicts and escalations effectively.
• Commitment to safety, risk awareness and adherence to standards.
