Onsite Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Onsite Maintenance Technician will partner with customers, the global helpdesk and internal teams to deliver high-quality audiovisual support at customer locations. The role focuses on setting up conference spaces, performing preventive maintenance and ensuring equipment operates reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and break down conference rooms to meet event requirements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, including testing and repairing cables and hardware components.
• Clean AV equipment such as camera lenses, monitors and fans.
• Document job site activities and produce accurate reports.
• Provide meeting support, install connectors and assist with video/audio recording.
• Deliver client training and adhere to local safety standards.
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot a variety of audio‑video systems.
• Travel to multiple customer sites as needed.
• Collaborate professionally with internal and external teams.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of audiovisual integration experience (preferred).
• High school diploma minimum; formal education in electronics or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s licence meeting company standards.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and communicate effectively.
• Basic computer knowledge and understanding of audio/video signal flow.

Required skills

• Use of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Soldering and crimping connectors.
• Operation of test and calibration equipment.
• Troubleshooting of audio, video and control systems.
• Knowledge of AVIXA, Biamp Tesira, Poly, Crestron and Exton AV certifications (preferred).
