Onsite Desktop Support Engineer (L2) – India

About the role

Excis is seeking a proactive Desktop Support Engineer (L2) to provide on‑site IT support across multiple locations in India. You will be the first point of contact for hardware, software and IT asset issues, ensuring smooth operation for VIP users and everyday staff.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve on‑site incidents and service requests independently.
• Provide VIP user support with professionalism and urgency.
• Support Digital Bar/Walk‑in centre, POS systems, barcode scanners, payment peripherals and meeting‑room AV equipment (Teams, Zoom, etc.).
• Manage printer/MFP support, coordinate with remote teams and vendors.
• Perform PC refresh activities: device staging, testing, replacement and end‑user communication.
• Assist with data migration, device decommissioning and asset updates in the CMDB.
• Identify automation opportunities and collaborate on recurring support automation.
• Record tickets, ensure SLA/KPI compliance and handle escalations.

Required profile

• Strong troubleshooting and client‑side incident resolution skills.
• Experience supporting VIP users.
• Good understanding of Windows, macOS, Office 365, ITSM and HAM processes.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple activities.
• Fluent in English and the local language.
• Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN and server‑room equipment.
• ITIL knowledge preferred.
