Officer 3 – US Partnership Taxation (Private Equity)

About the role

IQ-EQ is seeking an experienced tax professional to join its Tax Services team as an Officer 3. The role focuses on U.S. partnership taxation for private equity funds, management companies, and general partners, providing both compliance and advisory support.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review U.S. federal and state partnership tax returns (Form 1065) and related schedules (K‑1, K‑2/K‑3).
• Prepare corporate tax returns (Form 1120) as required.
• Develop tax workpapers from client‑provided financial data.
• Ensure timely filing and manage quarterly/annual tax estimates and extensions.
• Support tax planning strategies to optimize after‑tax returns for investors and partners.
• Stay current on U.S. tax regulations, IRS guidance, and legislative changes affecting private equity.
• Implement best practices for documentation and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in U.S. partnership taxation, preferably within private equity.
• Strong knowledge of Subchapter K, partnership allocations, and related regulations.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax compliance software (e.g., GoSystem).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience preparing Form 1065, Schedule K‑1, K‑2/K‑3, and Form 1120.
• Knowledge of Subchapter K partnership tax rules.
