Nursing Officer – Patient Care & Assessment

About the role

Apollo Hospitals is seeking a Nursing Officer to join its clinical team. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing care, assessing patient health problems, and supporting patients and families throughout the recovery process.

Key responsibilities

• Record medical history, symptoms and maintain accurate patient records.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver patient care.
• Perform point‑of‑care tests and conduct comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Monitor patients’ health status and respond to changes promptly.
• Provide bedside care, education and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure proper operation of medical equipment.
• Participate in regular in‑service education and training sessions.

Required profile

• Graduate with 1st division in 10th, 12th and GNM Nursing, BSc Nursing or MSc Nursing.
• 3 months to 5 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate patient care.
• Initiative, empathy and a patient‑centred approach.

• Computer literacy.

• Medication administration.
• Point‑of‑care testing.
