Mobile Software Engineer – II (Android & iOS)

About the role

Join Abbott’s Cardiac Rhythm Management division to design, develop, and validate Android and iOS mobile applications that support life‑saving cardiac devices. You will work within a disciplined product development process that meets strict quality, regulatory, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, unit‑test, integrate, and perform expert‑user testing of mobile software on Android and iOS platforms.
• Lead development of features, including technical requirements, interface specifications, architecture, prototyping, and implementation.
• Develop and execute unit and component test plans, analyze defects, and drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Contribute to mobile architecture, platform tools, UI, communication layers, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance across device, OS, and API versions.
• Stay current with mobile OS updates, cloud interfaces, cybersecurity, AI/ML, IoT, and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience developing mobile applications for Android and/or iOS in a regulated environment.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and continuous‑integration pipelines.
• Understanding of medical device software standards such as IEC 62304.
