Mobile Application Developer – React Native (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Mobile Application Developer to own the mobile layer of our product. You will turn our web‑based services into production‑grade iOS and Android applications, ship them to the stores, and keep them running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Build, ship, and maintain iOS and Android apps using React Native (Expo).
• Integrate the apps with our backend APIs (tRPC) and authentication system (Clerk).
• Implement real‑time features such as live dispatch updates, notifications, and maps/location services.
• Own the full release pipeline: builds, signing, TestFlight, App Store and Google Play submissions, and store review.
• Handle push notifications, deep linking, offline behavior, and device‑specific edge cases.
• Profile and fix performance issues; debug production crashes using real crash data.
• Keep dependencies up‑to‑date and maintain a clean, typed, and maintainable codebase.
• Report progress clearly and consistently.

Required profile

• 3+ years of production React Native experience with apps shipped to both the App Store and Google Play.
• Fluent in React Native and TypeScript.
• Deep hands‑on experience with Expo/EAS Build and the full mobile release lifecycle.
• Strong experience with REST/typed API integration, authentication flows, and state management.
• Experience with push notifications, maps/geolocation, and real‑time updates (sockets or similar).
• Comfortable testing on physical devices and debugging iOS and Android issues.
• Ability to take a specification and ship it independently with minimal hand‑holding.
• Clear written communication and disciplined daily updates.
• Familiarity with our stack: Next.js, tRPC, Drizzle, PostgreSQL, Clerk, Stripe.
• Background in logistics, dispatch, on‑demand, or marketplace apps is a plus.
