MEP Project Manager

About the role

The MEP Project Manager will lead the planning, design coordination, procurement, execution, testing, commissioning and handover of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across multiple projects. The role ensures quality, cost efficiency, statutory compliance and customer satisfaction while driving standardisation and value‑engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead MEP design development from concept to construction, reviewing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire‑fighting, ELV, BMS, STP/WTP and utility designs.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants and external MEP consultants to deliver optimised solutions.
• Develop execution strategies, monitor installation progress, resolve technical issues and ensure milestone achievement.
• Prepare and control MEP budgets, review BOQs, identify cost‑saving opportunities and manage variations.
• Finalize technical specifications, evaluate vendors, negotiate techno‑commercial terms and monitor contractor performance.
• Establish quality standards, conduct audits and ensure compliance with NBC, IS codes, fire department, PCB and other statutory regulations.
• Create commissioning plans, manage testing, obtain authority approvals and oversee handover to facilities management.
• Engage with consultants, contractors, government authorities and internal teams, presenting status and risks to senior management.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 7‑10 years of post‑qualification experience in large/medium residential, mixed‑use or commercial developments.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with real‑estate developers or builders.
• Relevant certifications in MEP, Project Management, Energy Management or Building Services are preferred.
