About the role

Pulse Hospital in Amritsar is seeking a full‑time Medical Officer to join its multi‑specialty team. The role is on‑site and involves delivering high‑quality patient care across medical and surgical services, working in shifts including nights and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage common medical conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Assist surgeons during procedures and oversee pre‑ and post‑operative patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, follow clinical guidance and escalate complex cases.
• Document patient encounters accurately and maintain up‑to‑date medical records.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, infection‑prevention measures and medical‑ethics standards.
• Participate in training activities, mentor junior staff and attend CME programmes.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent recognised medical degree with valid registration.
• Demonstrated patient‑care abilities, empathetic communication and safety‑focused decision‑making.
• Exposure to surgery and peri‑operative care.
• Experience working with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of hospital protocols, infection prevention and medical ethics; experience in a multi‑specialty or emergency setting is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Hindi or Punjabi, both spoken and written.
