Medical Officer / Head of Operations

About the role

Mardamed Healthcare is seeking a dynamic Medical Officer to lead the day‑to‑day operations of its multi‑specialty centre in Malleshwaram, Bangalore. The role combines clinical oversight with strategic management of radiology, OT, OPD, diagnostics, pharmacy and ancillary services.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all operational activities across radiology, OT, OPD, diagnostics, pharmacy and café, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Maintain NABH accreditation, patient‑safety standards and all relevant healthcare regulations.
• Recruit, onboard and develop doctors, nurses, paramedical and support staff; foster a culture of accountability and patient‑centred care.
• Manage vendor contracts, negotiate with suppliers and coordinate landlord or property matters.
• Oversee infrastructure projects, renovation and facility upgrades while ensuring compliance with safety norms.
• Control budgets, monitor revenue streams, manage billing and inventory, and produce operational dashboards for senior leadership.
• Handle medico‑legal documentation, patient grievances and compliance reporting.
• Drive innovation, implement technology solutions for patient engagement and lead expansion initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS plus MD (Hospital Administration) or MHA or MBBS + MBA.
• Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in hospital or multi‑department healthcare centre operations.
• Proven track record managing OPD, diagnostics, pharmacy and OT functions.
• Strong understanding of NABH standards, medico‑legal compliance and financial oversight.
