Medical Coding Trainer

About the role

TechnoBridge Systems Pvt Ltd is seeking a full‑time Medical Coding Trainer to join its campus in Pune/Pimpri‑Chinchwad. The trainer will deliver both classroom and practical sessions to learners enrolled in medical coding programmes, ensuring they acquire industry‑standard skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and assess lectures, workshops and practical exercises aligned with current coding standards.
• Design, update and maintain training materials, presentations and case studies.
• Explain coding guidelines for ICD, CPT, HCPCS and related systems, and clarify medical terminology.
• Review learner assignments, provide constructive feedback and track progress.
• Mentor students on interview preparation, professional behaviour and industry expectations.
• Collaborate with the academic team to continuously improve curriculum and learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong experience in medical coding with exposure to multiple coding systems (ICD, CPT, HCPCS).
• Background in Health Information Management and familiarity with health records and documentation standards.
• Sound knowledge of medical terminology and clinical concepts.
• Relevant certification such as RHIT or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in healthcare, life sciences, nursing, pharmacy or related field.
• Prior teaching, training or mentoring experience in medical coding or healthcare education.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Comfortable using computers, learning management systems and standard office software.
