Medical Advisor – Head Office (Mumbai)

About the role

The Medical Advisor will support Boehringer Ingelheim's medical affairs strategy from the head office in Mumbai. You will engage with key opinion leaders, provide scientific insights, and help shape medico‑marketing initiatives across the assigned therapeutic area.

Key responsibilities

• Develop deep knowledge of current practices, treatment trends, and therapies in the assigned therapeutic area.
• Engage with key customers, attend scientific symposia, and review medical literature to generate actionable insights.
• Communicate scientific information clearly to internal and external stakeholders, positioning the company as a trusted partner.
• Execute medical projects such as Investigator‑Initiated Studies (IIS) to strengthen relationships with healthcare professionals.
• Support local medico‑marketing strategies and ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
• Identify and build relationships with key opinion leaders, providing regular field feedback to management.
• Assist in product registration activities by delivering scientific presentations and literature support.
• Contribute to labeling document development and review for pipeline and local products.

Required profile

• Medical degree in Pharmacology (or equivalent scientific qualification).
• 4‑5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, preferably in diabetes therapy.
• For candidates without a doctoral degree, 10+ years of relevant field‑based experience with strong scientific expertise.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Basic IT knowledge of MS Office applications.
