Mechanical Workshop Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Workshop Engineer is responsible for executing workshop services, including machining, valve and PSV repair, calibration, and onsite support. The role ensures smooth mechanical operations, compliance with statutory regulations, and alignment with organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Execute machining, valve/PSV repairing, calibration, and hot‑tapping activities according to job plans.
• Coordinate machining activities with external vendors and manage mechanical equipment overhauls.
• Prepare workshop maintenance cost estimates, budgeting inputs, and resource optimisation.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, fabrication jobs, and spare‑part manufacturing in the workshop.
• Supervise safety‑valve testing on test benches and rotor balancing on balancing machines.
• Support planned turnarounds, shutdown services, and ensure equipment is tested, calibrated, and compliant with safety norms.
• Maintain documentation for compliance audits, statutory, CSM and HSE requirements.
• Monitor workshop KPIs weekly and ensure adherence to schedules.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Strong coordination skills with internal teams and external vendors.
• Attention to quality assurance and compliance documentation.
