Mechanical Service Engineer – Data Center (AWS Infrastructure)

About the role

Join AWS Infrastructure Services as a Mechanical Service Engineer responsible for the operation and maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems in Amazon data centers across India. You will ensure continuous, safe, and efficient facility performance while supporting 24x7 on‑call and rotational shift requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end operations and maintenance for data‑center mechanical infrastructure, including change, incident, and problem management.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency response for critical facility equipment.
• Manage asset and inventory records, develop SOPs, emergency procedures, and technical documentation.
• Communicate operating philosophies and technical information to Amazon teams and external vendors.
• Provide hands‑on facility support, review incident reports, document trends, and coordinate vendor actions during emergencies.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with mechanical and HVAC systems in a data‑center or industrial environment.
• Ability to work 24x7 on‑call rotations and respond to emergencies.
• Strong technical writing skills and familiarity with automation of maintenance processes.
• Effective communication and coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
