Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Level III

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at Level III to lead the upkeep of our high‑speed CNC, conventional and special‑purpose machines. The role combines preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain CNC machines (VMC, HMC, turning centers), conventional lathes, milling and grinding equipment, and special‑purpose machines.
• Inspect and service spindle systems, ball screws, linear guides, automatic tool changers, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, including lubrication audits, backlash/alignment checks, vibration and temperature monitoring, and coolant system upkeep.
• Respond rapidly to breakdowns, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and basic PLC faults, and implement RCA and CAPA to reduce MTTR.
• Ensure machine geometry accuracy, dimensional consistency, and support trial runs after maintenance.
• Drive autonomous maintenance, Kaizen projects, and OEE improvement initiatives.
• Follow LOTO procedures, work‑permit systems, and safety standards; verify guarding and interlock functionality.
• Maintain accurate documentation in CMMS (IBM Maximo), update breakdown history, PM checklists and spare consumption records.
• Identify critical spares, manage inventory, and coordinate with vendors for timely parts supply.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, preferably at a senior or Level III level.
• Strong collaborative mindset and ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Customer‑focused attitude with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Ability to make timely decisions, manage complex information and learn quickly from experimentation.
