Mechanical Engineer – Plumbing (4-8 yrs) – Bangalore/Gurugram

About the role

Sweco is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in plumbing to join its Bangalore/Gurugram office. You will work on European, especially Swedish, projects, delivering high‑quality plumbing designs and ensuring compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers to create optimal plumbing systems, including calculations, specifications, and detailed drawings.
• Select equipment, prepare layouts, and perform design calculations in line with European/Swedish codes.
• Produce 3D models, coordinate with other services, and ensure clash‑free designs.
• Evaluate design drawings, data, proposals, and calculations to meet project targets.
• Research, plan, and develop sustainable mechanical systems.
• Maintain quality standards, meet deadlines and budgets, and work closely with Swedish colleagues.

Required profile

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience in plumbing design, preferably in a consultancy environment.
• Good English communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with European/Swedish plumbing codes and regulations.
