MDM Platform Administrator

About the role

Amgen is looking for an MDM Admin/Infrastructure Resource with 2-5 years of experience to support and maintain its enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) platforms using Informatica MDM and IDQ. The role ensures the reliability, availability and performance of master data solutions across the organization, using tools such as Databricks and AWS for automation, backup, recovery and preventive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain customer, product and study master data using Informatica MDM and IDQ.
• Perform data recovery and data backup to protect master data integrity.
• Carry out server maintenance and preventive maintenance to keep systems reliable.
• Use Unix/Linux, Python and Databricks for scalable data processing and automation.
• Work with business and data engineering teams to improve MDM solutions.
• Implement automation for backup, recovery and preventive maintenance.
• Use AWS cloud services for data storage and compute related to MDM.
• Support MDM software maintenance and upgrades.
• Track and manage data issues with tools such as JIRA and document processes in Confluence.
• Apply Life Sciences/Pharma context to ensure data standards and compliance.

Required profile

• Master's degree with 1-3 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years, in Business, Engineering, IT or a related field; or Diploma with 6-8 years of experience.
• Preferred: certifications in ETL (e.g. Informatica), SQL data analysis, or cloud (AWS/Azure).
• Good written and spoken English, able to work with global, virtual teams and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Informatica MDM and IDQ administration and configuration.
• Data recovery, data backup and server maintenance (Linux/Unix, server upgrades).
• Access control, data modeling, approval workflows and DCR.
• Advanced SQL and data wrangling.
• Knowledge of MDM, data governance, stewardship and profiling.
• Nice to have: Databricks and AWS, Life Sciences/Pharma background, JIRA and Confluence, basic data engineering concepts.
