About the role

Benaka Health Centre is seeking an MBBS‑qualified Doctor to deliver comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care in Beltangadi. The role involves direct patient interaction, clinical decision‑making and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a community‑focused setting.

Key responsibilities

• Take detailed medical histories, perform physical examinations and formulate diagnoses for common medical conditions.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and order, interpret, and act on laboratory and imaging investigations.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records using electronic or paper‑based health record systems.
• Coordinate care with nursing and allied health staff, participate in clinical rounds and emergency care.
• Adhere to clinical protocols, infection‑control practices and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality.
• Provide follow‑up consultations and contribute to weekend, holiday or on‑call rotations as required.

Required profile

• MBBS degree from a recognized institution and valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities for routine and minor emergency cases.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families and the healthcare team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and ethical medical practice.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Beltangadi and participate in rotational duties.
