Material Security

About the role

Tata Electronics is seeking a Material Security professional to safeguard the flow of materials across its manufacturing sites. The role combines security system operation, warehouse oversight, and compliance auditing to ensure safe and efficient material handling.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor security gadgets such as CCTV, RFID, biometric access and intrusion detection systems.
• Enforce material security protocols for inbound, outbound, returnable and non‑returnable items.
• Coordinate system upgrades, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance with SCM, IT and electronic security teams.
• Supervise warehouse activities, ensuring safe storage, handling and real‑time inventory tracking via SAP MM/WM.
• Conduct regular audits of material flow, warehouse records and security systems, preparing reports for management and external auditors.
• Lead and train a cross‑functional team on security awareness, SAP usage and material handling procedures.
• Maintain compliance with ISO, EHS and semiconductor industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Security Management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of modern security systems (CCTV, RFID, biometric access, alarm systems).
• Proficiency in SAP MM/WM modules and MS Office tools.
• Solid understanding of warehouse management, material handling and logistics.
• Experience preparing audits, compliance documentation and delivering presentations.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to manage cross‑functional teams.
• Analytical mindset with problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
