Material Handling Operator

About the role

Join Siemens Healthineers as a Material Handling Operator on the 2nd shift, supporting the flow of medical technology components through our Plainfield warehouse. You will ensure timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Complete operational logistics processing on schedule, including goods receipt, warehouse, transport, and dispatch.
• Accept incoming shipments, verify material numbers, descriptions, and quantities against shipping documents.
• Inspect goods for visible damage, document findings, and report as required.
• Operate transport equipment such as hand‑guided industrial trucks and forklifts safely.
• Capture and record relevant data in the company’s data processing systems.
• Arrange storage, commissioning, and removal of items, maintaining accurate system records.
• Conduct regular stock maintenance and inventory counts.
• Assemble deliveries, verify completeness and accuracy, and prepare packaging according to shipping instructions, including hazardous‑goods handling.
• Attach appropriate shipping documents and execute transports within and outside the premises.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work the 2nd shift schedule.
• Physical capability to handle manual lifting and operate warehouse equipment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
