Manager, Sales India

About the role

As a Manager, Sales India you will lead the sales activities for BASF’s plastic additives portfolio across both upstream polymer manufacturers and downstream converters, compounders and masterbatchers in India. You will be responsible for driving volume and margin growth, expanding the customer base and ensuring high service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve volume and margin targets.
• Prospect, secure and expedite orders with existing and new accounts.
• Negotiate and conclude business contracts, including sales and distribution agreements.
• Identify and develop new markets, customers and applications.
• Handle customer complaints and implement corrective measures.
• Prepare and present customer visits, reports and market intelligence.
• Conduct market studies, competitor analysis and benchmarking.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts and distributors.
• Conduct field visits, seminars and presentations for customers.
• Provide timely responses to quality, technical and inquiry issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure product and service quality.
• Supply market trend data and monthly sales forecasts to support inventory planning.
