Manager - PR & Internal Communications

About the role

ONDC is seeking a communications professional with 3‑5 years of experience to lead its public relations and internal communications efforts. The manager will craft compelling narratives, manage media relationships, and ensure seamless communication across both external and internal audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Draft press releases, media notes, speeches, leadership communications, and other communication materials.
• Manage media relations, coordinate with PR agencies, arrange interviews, and oversee press outreach.
• Drive internal communications initiatives such as newsletters, leadership updates, town‑hall events, and employee engagement programs.
• Develop and execute communication plans for product launches, partnerships, announcements, and other key organisational initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership to guarantee timely, consistent, and effective messaging.
• Identify and develop compelling stories that highlight ONDC’s initiatives and impact.
• Track media coverage, PR activities, and communication performance, providing insights to inform strategy.
• Support overall brand positioning and reputation‑building through strategic communication.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, internal communications, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong storytelling and content‑development abilities.
• Solid understanding of media relations and PR processes, including experience managing media interactions and PR agencies.
• Proven stakeholder‑management and project‑execution experience.
• Ability to develop and execute communication strategies in a fast‑paced, high‑ownership environment.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to manage multiple communication priorities simultaneously.
