Manager - People & Organization

About the role

The Manager – People & Organization (also referred to as a Junior Plant HR Business Partner) ensures the efficient, compliant, and consistent delivery of all HR processes at the plant level. Acting as the first point of contact for managers and employees, the role translates the People strategy into daily operational actions on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment, onboarding, and talent acquisition for plant positions.
• Provide day‑to‑day employee relations assistance and resolve routine HR queries.
• Coordinate training delivery, performance appraisals, and individual development plans.
• Implement Group and Plant HR policies, ensuring consistent understanding and application.
• Collaborate with Health & Safety teams on policy communication, training, inductions and audit support.
• Assist the Plant People Business Partner with workforce planning, budgeting, and cost tracking.
• Execute compensation and benefits processes, including salary reviews and incentive administration.
• Drive People Experience initiatives, fostering an inclusive and engaged shop‑floor environment.
• Collect and analyse HR data to support organisational initiatives and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR within an industrial or plant setting.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, recruitment, performance management and employee development.
• Familiarity with health & safety regulations and ability to work closely with H&S teams.
• Ability to handle HR administration, budgeting data and cost reporting accurately.
• Excellent communication skills to serve as a visible HR contact for managers and staff.
