Manager – Life Actuarial Science (FST) – Actuarial Services

About the role

PwC is seeking a Manager for Life Actuarial Science within its Actuarial Services team in Gurgaon. The role focuses on delivering actuarial solutions for life insurance clients, ensuring compliance with Indian statutory requirements and international accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead statutory valuation, pricing, shareholder reporting and business planning projects for life insurance portfolios.
• Apply IFRS 17 and Ind AS 117 frameworks to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain actuarial models, including Prophet modelling and automation of actuarial processes.
• Interact with senior stakeholders, manage multiple projects and drive timely delivery.
• Support product development, reserving and pricing initiatives across the India domestic market.

Required profile

• 1+ year experience in insurance or consulting within the life domain.
• Prior exposure to IFRS 17 / Ind AS 117 and at least one area such as statutory valuation, pricing, shareholder reporting, business planning or Prophet modelling.
• Experience working in the Indian insurance market and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
