Maintenance Technician

About the role

Syensqo is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliable operation of mechanical equipment in a chemistry‑focused manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for both corrective and preventive maintenance while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute mechanical breakdown repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks.
• Implement and monitor safety culture, 5S, GMP, and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
• Manage SAP work orders and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide basic equipment training to operators and support FMECA reviews.
• Lead or support Management of Change (MOC) processes and technical project execution.
• Organise night‑time on‑call maintenance and maintain accurate equipment records.
• Control spare‑parts inventory, initiate purchase requests, and optimise consumption.

Required profile

• Strict compliance with plant safety regulations and national laws.
• Proven ability to use scientific methods to achieve high OEE.
• Experience in managing preventive maintenance programmes.
• Capability to conduct RCA and contribute to safety‑related studies.
• Strong organisational skills for night‑shift and on‑call duties.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, GMP and 5S principles.
