Maintenance Technician – Facility & Mechanical Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure that all facilities, utilities, and mechanical equipment operate at optimal performance through a robust preventive maintenance program. The role supports multiple NOV sites, handling repairs, procurement, and contractor oversight to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor preventive maintenance (PM) programs for building works, HVAC, electrical, fire protection, security access, landscaping, pest control and other assets using the Max‑Maintenance portal.
• Maintain mechanical equipment such as overhead cranes, welding machines, forklifts and air compressors to guarantee operational reliability.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform or coordinate repairs for fixtures, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems across offices, workshops and warehouses.
• Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders and goods receiving to support maintenance and facility operations.
• Supervise outsourced cleaning and security contractors, ensuring service delivery meets agreed KPIs and contract terms.
• Provide backup coverage for the Facilities Department during absences or peak periods and carry out additional facility‑related duties as required.
• Ensure compliance with NOV health, safety, environment (HSE) policies, standard operating procedures and applicable regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with an electrical C‑License.
• Minimum five years of hands‑on experience in a heavy‑machinery environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals and work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to work overtime.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with HSE regulations.
