Maintenance Program Engineer

About the role

Join Airbus' Maintenance & Services team in Bangalore to help customers increase aircraft operational availability and reduce direct maintenance costs. You will work on scheduled maintenance programs, interact directly with airlines and MROs, and drive optimisation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the optimisation of aircraft maintenance programmes across all ATAs, ensuring safety, economic and regulatory compliance.
• Analyse scheduled and unscheduled maintenance data to justify interval changes and support feasibility studies.
• Manage optimisation projects for airlines, delivering on time, within budget and with quality in a multicultural environment.
• Develop and maintain the aircraft initial maintenance programme and support operators with related services.
• Identify process improvements, define IT requirements and collaborate with Digital Services to develop tools.
• Lead or contribute to regional workshops, webinars and other events related to maintenance programme optimisation.

Required profile

• Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) degree or Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering degree.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in airline or MRO technical support, or equivalent certified experience.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills, strong stakeholder management, and fluency in English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of scheduled maintenance programmes (MSG‑3, MRBR, ALS, MPD).
• Familiarity with EASA Part‑M and Part‑145 regulations.
• General knowledge of aircraft systems and structures.
• Experience with airline operations, troubleshooting and maintenance programme preparation.
