Maintenance Program Engineer

About the role

Join Airbus' Maintenance & Services team in Bangalore to help airlines improve aircraft availability and reduce direct maintenance costs. The role focuses on delivering scheduled maintenance services, optimisation projects and technical support for Airbus customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the optimisation of aircraft maintenance programmes across all ATAs, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and cost efficiency.
• Lead feasibility analyses and create evolution dossiers for customised optimisation projects for airline customers.
• Support regional portfolio managers in discussions with operators and manage end‑to‑end optimisation projects in a multicultural environment.
• Develop and improve processes for scheduled maintenance services, including data analysis and technical evaluations.
• Collaborate with Digital Services to design IT tools that automate and enhance maintenance programme workflows.

Required profile

• Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering degree.
• 3‑5 years of experience in airline or MRO maintenance engineering or a licensed AME with comparable experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities, with fluency in English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of schedule maintenance programmes such as MSG‑3, MRBR, ALS and MPD.
• Familiarity with EASA Part‑M and Part‑145 regulations.
• General understanding of aircraft systems and airline operations.
• Experience in maintenance programme preparation and optimisation.
