Maintenance Officer

About the role

The Maintenance Officer will be based on‑site at our Kosamba facility and will ensure that production equipment, utilities, electrical systems and IT infrastructure operate reliably. This full‑time position supports uninterrupted plant performance in a regulated medical‑device environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.
• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot electrical panels, wiring and power distribution.
• Operate and service utility systems such as AHU, chillers and cooling towers.
• Handle basic IT hardware issues (computers, printers, UPS) and manage LAN, Wi‑Fi, router, switch and server connectivity.
• Maintain CCTV/DVR/NVR systems and related networking.
• Keep accurate maintenance records, schedules and equipment histories in a CMMS.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Production, QA/QC and external vendors.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects to boost equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in industrial or medical‑device facilities, preferably in clean‑room or regulated environments.
• Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams and SOPs.
• Strong communication skills for cross‑functional coordination.
• Commitment to safety, quality and compliance with GMP, ISO 13485 and other regulatory standards.
