Maintenance Engineer (Food)

About the role

Chordia Food Products Ltd is seeking a full‑time Maintenance Engineer to join its manufacturing facility in Pune. You will be responsible for keeping food processing and packaging equipment running reliably, minimizing downtime and supporting the company’s focus on quality and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on food processing and packaging machinery.
• Plan, schedule and execute maintenance activities to extend equipment life.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, coordinate repairs and ensure safe operation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Collaborate with production, quality and safety teams to meet hygiene and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities for equipment performance improvement and breakdown reduction.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably food or FMCG.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and regulatory compliance in a production setting.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and willingness to work shifts if required.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
