Maintenance Engineer – Automated Vertical Systems

About the role

Join a modern, AI‑driven factory where you will ensure the reliability and safety of automated vertical storage systems. As a Maintenance Engineer you will support installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of high‑tech equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on vertical storage machines (Modula, Ferretto, Craftsmann) and other factory equipment.
• Support installation, commissioning and acceptance of new automated vertical systems.
• Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, breakdown reports and spare‑parts records.
• Identify critical spare parts, manage inventory and coordinate with OEMs, service providers and vendors.
• Execute root‑cause analysis (RCA) and produce corrective‑preventive action (CAPA) reports.
• Assist with audits and inspections related to equipment maintenance and safety.
• Monitor system performance, diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control faults, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.

Required profile

• Knowledge of safety standards, statutory requirements and company EHS policies.
• Experience working in a PCBA manufacturing environment with SMT and THT processes.
• Ability to coordinate with OEMs and service providers for advanced troubleshooting and upgrades.
• Strong analytical mindset for root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• PLC‑based controls, HMIs and interlocks integrated with MES/line control systems.
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control system troubleshooting.
• Maintenance of vertical storage machines (Modula, Ferretto, Craftsmann).
• Electrical panel, sensor, motor and encoder diagnostics.
• Preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance techniques.
• Root‑cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA reporting.
