Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

The Maintenance Coordinator ensures that spare parts, chemicals and consumables are available in line with PepsiCo standards, supporting uninterrupted plant operations. This role involves managing a large inventory, coordinating with multiple departments, and driving compliance with statutory and environmental requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts (approx. 5‑10 Cr value) and ensure zero mismatches through regular stock taking, reconciliation and audits.
• Coordinate the availability of HSD/LPG and manage vendor creation, development and payment processes.
• Drive value‑engineering initiatives with internal stakeholders and the myBUY team.
• Ensure proper stacking, documentation, and statutory compliance for all received items.
• Prepare purchase orders and requisitions in SAP and Ariba, and handle material rejections and returns.
• Support EHS initiatives, conduct basic training for operatives, and maintain green‑environment agendas such as biomass briquette stock.
• Provide timely inventory reports to stakeholders and support plant audits.
• Collaborate with engineering to set min‑max and reorder levels, and monitor consumption patterns.

Required profile

• Proven experience in inventory and spare‑parts management within an industrial setting.
• Strong coordination skills across engineering, finance, and procurement teams.
• Familiarity with statutory and environmental compliance for storage facilities.
• Ability to prepare accurate documentation and reports.
