Machine Operator

About the role

Essity, a global leader in health and hygiene, is seeking an experienced Machine Operator for its manufacturing plant in Ponda, Goa. You will work on a production line that manufactures medical‑device products, ensuring the equipment runs smoothly and meets quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, set‑up, monitor and troubleshoot the main production machine and ancillary equipment such as printers and palletizers.
• Perform tool changeovers that do not require expert technical skills.
• Ensure material and resource availability for uninterrupted operation.
• Check product quality against specifications, reject non‑conforming items, and manage rework of quarantined material.
• Complete required documentation (BMR, inspection reports, loss data, registers, etc.).
• Communicate shift information to previous and next teams and support CAPA investigations.
• Maintain Good Hygiene Practice (GHP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma with ITI or equivalent technical training.
• Prior experience operating industrial machines in a production environment.
• Ability to work in a shift‑based team and follow safety and quality procedures.
