Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to emergencies. This role ensures a safe environment while maintaining compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property, secure rooms, and control access to restricted zones.
• Monitor Closed‑Circuit Television (CCTV) and alarm systems, authorising and documenting access.
• Conduct emergency response drills, safety inspections, investigations, and key‑control audits.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS when needed.
• Gather information, complete incident reports, and maintain confidentiality of all documentation.
• Defuse disturbances, resolve safety hazards, and escort unwelcome persons from the premises.
• Enforce alcoholic beverage control laws and respond to alarms using proper code procedures.
• Support management in training, motivating, and coaching staff while upholding the Guarantee of Fair Treatment policy.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk, run, and lift objects up to 50 kg (assistance for heavier items).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with guests, employees, and authorities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.

Required skills

• CCTV monitoring and alarm system operation.
• Key‑control audit procedures.
• First aid and CPR certification.
